Sean teams up with his old friend, Major Peter Vernon, and together they travel to Russia to track down Draganov. Their journey takes them through treacherous terrain and into the heart of a web of deceit and betrayal. Along the way, they must face armed guards, deadly traps, and the constant threat of betrayal.

Review

East of Desolation is a gripping adventure novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Higgins does a masterful job of creating a world of intrigue and danger, and his characters are complex and well-developed.

Sean Dillon is a fascinating protagonist. He is a man who has seen the horrors of war, and he is haunted by the ghosts of his past. He is also a man of great courage and determination, and he is willing to risk his life to do what he believes is right.

Kate Malone is another well-developed character. She is a strong and independent woman who is determined to avenge her father's death. She is also vulnerable and in need of Sean's protection.

The supporting cast of characters is equally well-drawn. Major Peter Vernon is a loyal friend and a skilled soldier. He is also a man with a dark past, and he is struggling to come to terms with his own demons.

The plot of East of Desolation is fast-paced and exciting. There is never a dull moment, and the tension builds steadily throughout the novel. Higgins does a great job of keeping the reader guessing, and the ending is both satisfying and surprising.

Overall, East of Desolation is a thrilling adventure novel that is sure to please fans of the genre. Higgins is a master storyteller, and he has created a world that is both believable and exciting. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the plot is fast-paced and suspenseful. If you are looking for a book that will keep you entertained from beginning to end, then I highly recommend East of Desolation.
