About the Author
Daniel Silva is an American author of thriller novels. He is best known for his series of novels featuring Gabriel Allon, an Israeli spy and art restorer. Silva's novels have been translated into more than 30 languages and have sold more than 20 million copies worldwide.
Silva was born in Michigan and raised in California. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in English. After college, Silva worked as a journalist for the Detroit Free Press and the Chicago Tribune.
In 1997, Silva published his first novel, The Kill Artist. The novel was a critical and commercial success, and it launched the Gabriel Allon series. Silva has since written 17 more novels in the series, including The Other Woman.
Silva's novels have been praised for their suspenseful plots, well-developed characters, and insightful commentary on international affairs. He has been compared to other bestselling thriller writers such as John le Carré and Robert Ludlum.
