The film opens with a group of American pilots preparing for a bombing raid on a Japanese oil refinery. The pilots are led by Captain Jack Torrance (Ed Skrein),a highly skilled and experienced pilot. However, the Americans refuse to give up, and they fight back with all their might. In a climactic battle, the Americans finally manage to destroy the oil refinery, but not without paying a heavy price. Many of the pilots are killed in action, including Captain Torrance.
