The Poet Summer 2024 Theme: On the Road Vol. LXIX
The theme of The Poet for Summer 2024 is "On the Road."
This theme invites poets to explore the many ways in which we travel, both physically and metaphorically. Travel can be a journey of self-discovery, a way to connect with others, or simply a way to see the world. In this issue of The Poet, we will explore the many facets of travel through poetry.

We are looking for poems that explore the following themes:
- The physical journey: Poems about road trips, train rides, airplane travel, and other forms of transportation.
- The metaphorical journey: Poems about journeys of self-discovery, growth, and change.
- The journey of others: Poems about the journeys of immigrants, refugees, and other people who have been forced to leave their homes.
We are also looking for poems that are written in a variety of styles, from traditional to experimental. We encourage poets to submit their best work, regardless of their experience or background.
The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2024. Poems should be submitted via email to [email protected]. Please include your name, contact information, and a brief bio in your email. Multiple submissions are welcome.
